General terms and condition
Hier is een duidelijke en nette vertaling van jouw Algemene Voorwaarden naar het Engels:
Article 1: Definitions
In these General Terms and Conditions, the following terms shall have the following meanings, unless explicitly stated otherwise:
- The Couturier: Hanna Peters, based in Breda, referred to in these General Terms and Conditions as "the couturier."
- Client: Any customer, whether private or business, who places an order with the couturier.
Article 2: Applicability
These General Terms and Conditions are accessible via the internet. Acceptance of an offer from the couturier or issuing an order to the couturier implies that the other party accepts the applicability of these General Terms and Conditions. They apply to every offer, order, and agreement between the couturier and the other party unless expressly and in writing agreed otherwise. Any deviations from these terms are valid only if explicitly agreed in writing; all other provisions remain in full force.
Article 3: Orders / Purchases
The client is fully responsible for the accuracy of the information provided in the purchase agreement.
- Early Bird Offer: The couturier offers a 3% discount for full prepayment of bridal couture within 7 days. Accessories can also be paid for upon pickup.
- Payment Plan: Orders can be paid with a 50% deposit. After the design session, the client receives an email with a payment link and a written summary of the agreement. The remaining 50% is split into two invoices:Installment 2: 25% after the second fitting session (prototype)Installment 3: 25% at the final session (pickup)
Payment deadlines are 14 days from the invoice date. For clients using the storage service after the product is finished, the final payment must still be made at the last initial appointment. Additional tailoring costs due to size adjustments are invoiced at the applicable rate.
In cases where total costs cannot be precisely determined in advance, an estimate will be provided. Any unexpected extra costs may apply, with a maximum percentage margin communicated by the couturier.
Article 4: Processing Time and Pickup
The production time for a bridal gown is a minimum of 6 months. For shorter deadlines, a 15% rush fee may apply. The price includes VAT, materials, and production costs. Additional costs for accessories or services only apply if agreed by both parties.
The gown remains in the custody of Hanna Peters until delivery. Appointment schedules are planned collaboratively and may be rescheduled if necessary. Deadlines are indicative; exceeding them does not entitle the client to compensation or cancellation rights, unless caused by intentional or gross negligence by the couturier. Standard scheduling aims to complete the order 2 months before the wedding, with the final fitting up to 3 weeks before.
Article 5: Storage Service
Clients may opt for a storage service after the initial order is complete. Any adjustments must be completed within 1 week to ensure the order is finished 2 weeks before the wedding. Payment for the initial order must be fully completed before storage. Any additional tailoring costs will be invoiced with a link or paid in-store at pickup.
Article 6: Size Deviations
The couturier cannot be held responsible for size changes of more than one standard size due to circumstances such as pregnancy, weight changes, illness, medication, or surgery. All products are custom-made according to the client’s measurements at the start of the process. Any required adjustments caused by external purchases (e.g., lingerie) are the client’s responsibility; the couturier may adjust at the standard hourly rate or may decline to do so.
Article 7: Force Majeure
In cases of force majeure, temporary or permanent, the couturier may suspend or cancel the agreement without liability for compensation. Force majeure includes, but is not limited to: strikes, boycotts, operational disruptions, traffic or transport problems, scarcity of materials, epidemics, fire, machine breakdowns, and any circumstance preventing reasonable performance.
Article 8: Cancellation
- Cancellation is possible within 14 days after the initial 50% or 100% deposit, minus €250 design and material costs.
- Later cancellations follow these rules:Up to 2 weeks after the second fitting: 50% refundAfter that period: full payment required
Wedding cancellation does not exempt the client from payment obligations. Deadlines may be postponed by agreement, with the product remaining in the couturier’s custody.
Article 9: Liability
After delivery, Hanna Peters is not liable for stains or damage. Any issues discovered at home must be reported within 24 hours; thereafter, liability ends.
By paying the deposit, the client confirms they have read and accepted these General Terms and Conditions, which are also available on the website.
