Need help?
We are here for you!
Ideally, you'd start a year before the wedding, but if there's less time, it's usually still possible. A total of 4 to 5 sessions are needed. Each appointment takes about 2 hours, and I always take the time to chat a bit as well.
It may still be difficult to imagine, but during the initial orientation, you can already get a very good idea of what the dress will look like when it's finished. My clients almost always joke, 'well, just wrap it up, nothing more to do,' and are amazed at how much is possible in this process. You don't have to make any compromises; everything is possible, and at the same time, it quickly becomes clear what you're truly enthusiastic about.
This is generally at your discretion, but we advise against bringing more than 3 extra guests to the sessions. Some brides prefer to come alone because they find it more comfortable to make decisions with just me, while other brides really appreciate having friends and family contribute their ideas. Feel free to make your own choices here. Please note that the sessions typically last about 2 hours, sometimes a little longer.
In the salon, I have many different samples of all kinds of fabrics for you to choose from, and if you can't find what you like there, I know the international fabric world by heart, hahaha, so that will be absolutely fine! It often happens that I continue searching for inspiration and order new fabric samples.
If you come by train, you can walk straight to our shop through the park, which is about a 10-minute walk. The shop is next to De Grote Kerk, so that's a good landmark. If you come by car, parking garage De Barones is the closest; from there it's a 4-minute walk via the Nieuwstraat exit.
As inspiration, it is often the case that a bride has an example of a dress she likes. We can certainly take this as inspiration, and it will be even more beautiful! During the design process, ideas naturally emerge that make the design even more beautiful and fit the figure even better. This always results in a unique design, one of a kind in the world, and perfectly suited to you.
The process of having a wedding dress made often starts a year before the wedding. Some brides want to lose a little weight before their ideal weight, but still want to choose a dress, and that's perfectly fine! If it's a matter of a few kilos, we don't need to take this into account. The dress is built up in different sessions, and the size difference can still be corrected per session. If you expect a significant size difference, we will design it, but we will postpone the making process until you are closer to your ideal weight. Please note that we start the process at least three months before the wedding. Feel free to mention this during an exploratory meeting, and I can take this into account.

We will start making your dress as soon as possible after the order, to avoid stress later and to ensure you can enjoy the end result as soon as possible. We aim to have the dress ready at most 2 months before your wedding. If you wish to try it on again shortly before your wedding to ensure the size is still perfect, you can use the storage service. However, please note that if any corrections need to be made at that time, they will be charged at the applicable hourly rate. If the order was placed only a few months before the wedding, the latest it will be ready is one week before your wedding.
Yes, you can also come to us for that! This way you can be sure that the alteration of your dream dress is in good hands, and you can immediately look for cool accessories to complete your look. We also advise on and sell the most diverse lingerie options, so you don't have to worry about that either. Since we are just as meticulous in this as we are in making couture dresses, the rates may be higher than at a local seamstress. On average, the prices for altering dresses range between €300 and €700, depending, of course, on what needs to be done.
You can also have that done with us. For example, if you still have your mother's wedding dress and you would like to incorporate it into your own wedding dress. Over the past 15 years, we have carried out many such assignments, and we have a soft spot for these particularly personal assignments! Please note that the prices do not differ much from having a new dress made. This is because an existing dress first needs to be taken apart, so fabrics need to be repaired where necessary, and combining them with new matching fabrics is also labor-intensive. The fabrics are often slightly yellowed, and it is important to ensure that the white tones match in daylight. These are extra considerations in this process that do not apply when making a new dress. The prices for restyling dresses generally range between €900 and €2900, depending on the assignment. However, we can only give you a truly accurate price indication after we have discussed the possibilities together in the store. So feel free to visit us for advice; it is always completely free of charge.
