How I started

My Story

As a child I learned to work with the sewing machine from my mother, and I experimented with fabrics and materials at a young age. I was always making something!

After graduating from VWO in Nijmegen, I decided to go to Australia for a year to travel and work there. After a few months, I found a job with an eccentric fashion designer in Melbourne and felt like I was coming home. In the studio behind the shop, I was immediately given the responsibility to sew and finish evening dresses, and immediately became the designer's full-time right hand.

Out-of-the-box

Then I decided that my creativity was my mission, but I realized that a business development was important for that. I decided to combine my interests with a broad education and to develop myself all-round with the HBO Tourism Management & Consultancy program, and to expand my creativity after my diploma. During my studies, however, I did not sit still, and during my entire student years I created countless out-of-the-box outfits for club Now & Wow in Rotterdam. For this, for example, I stitched vintage hoop skirts together with red lace and white pillowcases and thus created the most diverse works of art. During my studies I also traveled the world and developed an open-minded view on life.

Creating Couture

After my HBO education I also obtained a Bachelor International Business Communication in Nijmegen. When that foundation was laid I definitively chose my creativity. During this period I obtained my diplomas in pattern drawing and couture techniques in a 4-year fashion education, and in addition I completed an NTI education Styling.

In the meantime I worked on various theatre costume productions and dance productions. In 2010 I was hired as a fashion designer at couturier Olga Buise of L'Ago B and I made many couture wedding dresses on order for our clients and made several artistic collections for fashion shows.

Life passion

The influence of traveling became a recognizable element in my signature, which is reflected in the free style of my designs. I always look for the perfect balance between the highest quality of fabric and technique, but cast in a free design. I only make my bridal couture in the most beautiful fabrics, which flow around the skin. I want the bride to feel fantastic, inside and out, in which movement and flexibility play a major role. A design for the beach of Ibiza, for example, is made of 30 meters of supple chiffon silk, which comes to life beautifully in the sultry wind and dances around the bride.

Freedom and quality

My work is my lifestyle, and I intertwine my creativity with passion for life and share this with love with the brides I design for. The brides who feel comfortable with me are often adventurous women who know what they want, who want and dare to be themselves, and have an eye for quality and design. Women who tell their own story and inspire others with it, my designs are tailor-made for them!
