Hanna's life story
"I was born with creativity in my veins"
My love for fashion began in my childhood home, surrounded by cornfields. We lived in the heart of nature, and time seemed to stand still there. I could completely lose myself in the moment, enjoying the rustling trees and chirping birds. It sparked my creativity—I was always making something. My mother quickly taught me to use the sewing machine, and I still remember trying to make a pair of pants by stitching a round tunnel—and as you can guess, it didn’t fit at all! (Luckily, that was more than made up for later! ;) ) My parents were always engaged in creative projects too; renovating, gardening, tinkering with the car—truly, everything was possible in our family. That’s how creativity was instilled in me from the very beginning!

A creative adventure
Vintage hoops & pillowcases
After graduating from VWO in Nijmegen, I decided to spend a year in Australia to travel and work. After a few months, I found a job with an eccentric fashion designer in Melbourne and immediately felt at home. In the atelier behind the shop, I was quickly given the responsibility to sew and finish evening gowns, becoming the designer's full-time right hand. I developed my creativity rapidly because I loved being creatively involved with clients.
When I returned to the Netherlands, I didn’t immediately find a suitable study path, especially since I had a VWO background, which quickly led me into more theoretical subjects. However, the HBO program in Tourism Management & Consultancy inspired me because it offered various directions, and within it, I specialized in Marketing & Communication, which allowed me to express creativity as well.
Throughout my studies, creativity continued to manifest in many ways. During my student years, I created countless out-of-the-box outfits for Club Now & Wow in Rotterdam. For example, I stitched vintage hoop skirts together with red lace and white pillowcases, creating all kinds of unique artworks. I also traveled extensively during my studies, developing a broad-minded perspective on life.

Creating couture
My art is my lifestyle
After completing my HBO degree (college), I earned a Bachelor's in International Business Communication in Nijmegen. Once that foundation was set, I definitively chose to follow my creativity. During this period, I completed a 4-year fashion program, an NTI Interior Styling course, and later the Couture Corset program at the Meestercoupeur Academy.
Meanwhile, I worked on various theater costume productions and dance performances. In 2010, I was hired as a fashion designer by couturier Olga Buise of L’Ago B, where I created numerous couture bridal gowns for clients and developed several artistic collections for fashion shows. The influence of traveling became a recognizable element in my signature style, reflected in the free-flowing nature of my designs.
I always seek the perfect balance between the highest quality fabrics and techniques, shaped into free-form designs. I create my bridal couture only in the most beautiful fabrics that flow against the skin. My goal is to make the bride feel amazing, inside and out, with movement and fluidity playing a central role. My art is my lifestyle, and I weave my creativity with life’s passion, sharing it with love with the brides I design for. The brides who feel comfortable with me are often adventurous women who know what they want, dare to be themselves, and have an eye for quality and design.
